Honey I'm living vicariously through you. I haven't dated anyone since my husband died a decade ago. Don't know how wise that was on my part - too used to getting my way and answering to no one now.

So, Mr. Green Eyes wanted me to fly to Disney world this afternoon!
Zero notice!
I said no.
I just couldn't do that.
He said pack a bag and let's go.
I am not even sure if I have a bag like that.
I have grocery bags that's it.
My husband did that to me when we were dating. I opened a fortune cookie that said, "you're going on a trip!" I said, "this must be yours!" (I knew he was going to LA on business the next day.). He said, "nope! That's yours! You're coming too!" And the next night, I was in LA!
Never happen again, though. Lol!

Well, I have heard some here say (insinuate I'm superficial) because I like good looking men. I believe men can be good looking and nice (I had one of those men).
Get rid of the dog and keep the good looking one as long as he's nice......and has money! Good looking and poor don't go together either....

Just in case your gut is trying to tell you something, let me offer one bit of advice.
If any guy starts hinting at financial troubles, run, do not walk away.
It's a common scam behind dating. A brilliant friend of ours got taken by "loaning" a supposedly great guy money. She lost a total of $50,000 to him.

This seems like somebody else's life besides mine right now.
He looked sad that I wouldn't go but for somebody like me that is just crazy.
I have never even been on a plane!
I am a homebody and I know if I don't change somewhat I will lose him.
I told him if you want me to do something like this you have to tell me.
The problem is even if he told me in advance I am not so sure I want to go.
(Mr. Green Eyes is man #2)
(Man #1 the first one ignores me on the weekends.)
He is getting the ax cause Mr. Green Eyes is the bomb!
Here's the thing to think about...you may not be compatible with each other then. Best to sort these things out now realistically then to be emotionally more invested in something than was ever going to work out. Or might.THIS is exactly pay what dating is all about. Finding out things about ourselves and each other.
This is what I was going to say. I'm on the introverted side and enjoy being home or staying close to home. I remember when I was dating someone in my 20's -- was crazy about him -- but he kept dragging me all over the place. It's like we could never relax and just be with each other. He always had to be somewhere, active, in the middle of a crowd. I tried to change for him, but it wasn't working. As crazy as I was about him, I knew we weren't at all compatible in terms of lifestyle.
That aside, I wouldn't travel anywhere with a man until I had been dating him routinely, certainly not for a weekend. (I don't know how long you have been seeing him.) Sad to say, I think you have to be more careful these days.

Ok, are you just looking for a place to vent about it or do you want advice?
I don't think it's a big deal if you couldn't go last minute because you couldn't get a pet sitter, or had to work or had some other commitment but otherwise, why wouldn't you go? Or do you not know him well enough to want to on an out of town trip with him?

Wow that's deep @Noel7. It's too bad she was taken.

Maybe? Or maybe he'll just think he's not compatible with her because he likes to do this kind of thing. Who knows?
