Chinese food...lol...we order takeout with about 4 to 5 people...then lay it out like a buffet...I eat plant based...all others eat meat...I can't take any of theirs but yes some take mine...last time I ordered mine extra spicy and put my container near me..maybe they got the message...I know sounds selfish but...they get leftovers...I don't...DW

I agree with that. I must have my own laptop, computer, cell phone. Car, bank accounts, credit cards, debut cards, retirement accounts. Happily married 37 years this year, we both treasure our independence and neither of us is into sharing.

I have never been a fan of this style of eating....anything.
It's not really a problem because we are rarey eating in groups these days. But, when we did, I never wanted to do this.
I order what I like and want, and don't want to share. Period. If you want a taste, ask...but do not take it off my plate...ever!

I live alone so I don't have to share anything now but growing up the youngest of 8 kids in a 3 bedroom 1 bath house, I had to share everything. EVERYTHING until at least the last sister moved out and got my own room when I was 12. We had 1 tv, no dishwasher, no dryer etc.
When I first moved out I had to get a room mate, I insisted on a 2 bathroom apt and I bought a TV for the living room AND for my bedroom, had a dishwasher and washer and dryer. That was LIVING baby!

Our situation is that I am really huge on taking care of my things and he is, well, the opposite.
Consequently, I have my things and he has his - as it should be. ![]()
Some of my things are as old as 4 decades and in like-new condition. He, OTOH, tends to either lose or break his things on the regular.

I must have my own bathroom. My house, apartment or other living arrangement must have a minimum of two bathrooms.
