I Googled the phone number for SiriusXM to have our plan moved to the new car. Totally forgot I had the number in my phone. NOT Americans but aren't we all used to that. They made a deal for 38 months for $190. Got all my banking info
A possible fraud alert popped up on my computer. I verified it was legit. I called my bank. Girl at the bank said Sirius would id themselves as Sirius, not tv-radio entertainment whatever.
I was already paid up thru Apil 2026 with Sirius and got the plan transferred. Alerted my bank and am "fixing" to call the scammers.

When you buy a new car usually the dealership will offer Sirius for a few months for free. I would have thought that they would give you the phone number.
Anyway, I hope you get it straightened out!

Something "similar" happened to me. I was charged ON BOTH OF MY VISA CARDS for "services by a dentist" who was NOT MINE.
My credit cards are from different banks...and they both took care of the FRAUD claims that I made with them.
It's getting scary...I now check my purchases on the computer right away, to make sure something "fishy" didn't take place. di

I wish I had the knowledge and tools that SP (scammer payback on YT) has. I could make them sweat before crashing their computers. Back to the phone.

The last thing you should do is call them back.
I believe @monicakm was "joking"....(she's a pretty smart cookie!) di

Rut ro. I guess my cookie has crumbled
I called them back. If they don't reverse that charge and my bank has to take care of it, I have to cancel my debit card and that whole ordeal is even worse.

I was run over by a car years ago...and have a lot of "hardware" in one leg, including a large BOLT right thru my ankle. I walk with a slight "limp".
RECENTLY, I received two phone calls with the caller ID "Maricopa County Health Department". They wanted to SEE ME about my "bad knee".
I have NO IDEA who initiated the phone calls...or HOW they got my phone number, but it was also some kind of "scam". I hung up on them TWICE. di
