Commercials tell me ...

1.I could end up walking if I don't buy an extra warranty on my car.

2.My hot water heater might leak and flood my house. (I could sing the jingle they wrote to remind myself to install a new one)

3.I could end up paying a lot of money if I don't buy insurance coverage for the sewer & water lines on my property.

4.If my friend has a certain size waistline, she could have insulin resistance and be unable to lose weight.

5.If I don't wear a security necklace, I won't be able to get up if I fall and could be on the floor forever.

6.I could end up like somebody's neighbor and only have $250 for my funeral if I don't buy a term life insurance policy.

Commercials can be scary, eh? LOL

@shoesnbags  Sorry to hear that about your friend. My hot water heater is in the garage and is less than a year old. I saw little drips in the pan and bought the new one before it could drain out in the garage. The "scary" commercials annoy me though.

On the Sport's topic we were chatting about NFL teams that are cursed and I mentioned that the Jets cursed the viewing public showing Joe Namath and that Medicare commercial so frequently.....🤣🤣🤣

I have had two water heaters flood. They were in different houses, both in garage. First happened as we were headed out on vacation; called American home shield, gave neighbor my key; cost $60 out of pocket. Second was this year; called handy man; he and DH drained it; no need to replace. Would never buy specific insurance for anything other than house, car or life. Never just to repair one specific item.

Well, that's probably the only true thing in the news. All of us really are going to die. Someday.  Eventually. But, hopefully NOT in the near future!

Speaking of hot water heaters ours did flood a bit (not too drastic thank goodness!) and it was in the basement on a concrete & tile floor.  Still a mess though and we knew it was time for a new one.
