Has anyone bought prescription eyeglasses from a website? If so, were you satisfied? What was an average savings for you? Prices are so ridiculous at eye doctor's office! Thank you.

I know it's expensive to buy glasses. I get titanium frames.
I am particular about fit, and I would be afraid, not to be able to try my frames on

Been going to Lenscrafters since they opened their doors. I get a gradient tint.........and I need to know "on the spot" if it's "right"................

No but we just went to Costco and bought them there. Big savings with all the great trifocal, anti scratch and transition coating. Worth the membership if that is all you bought.

I've been a customer of Zenni optical dot com for 12 years. Just got a new pair last week. Frames, lens (progressive and astigmatism) were $111(easily $400 plus) and I had them in ten days. I have shared this with friends and everyone raves. They have very good customer service over the phone.

An eye dr office is not the only place to purchase "eyeglasses" offline.

Several years ago someone posted a picture of her new frames, which I loved. She gave me the name etc., and I found them online on sale at an optical shop in Canada. I got the frames with no problem then took them with my prescription to Walmart for the progressive lenses. They did an excellent job. I think the whole thing cost me about $250, and I got high quality frames made in England.

I have ordered on line from Warby Parker saving over $150.00 for each pair of glasses. You select frame style from their selection and they send you samples for free to try. They do have a couple of retail locations in large cities. Worked very well for me

Zenni is a great place - even if you just buy the frames and get the lenses at a local eye store. Will save you lots on frames alone.

I wouldn't even attempt it! My eyes are too important to cut corners or look for a bargain.
