I don't know why they just don't start in January....all I know is that they have turned me so off to this holiday that by the time Christmas comes I'm sick of it and can't wait for it to end. Absolutely hate it.
@Secretariat1 guess you don't like Hallmark Murders and Mysteries TV channel then? Their Chrismas movies started one day this week.

What they sell is no different than shoes and blenders as far as the religious holiday--at least that's how I feel about it.
Yes it does. They lump the reason for the season along together with gifting. They DO tie them together. That's how they make money. In any event, only those who truly adhere to the Holiday based on thei religious principles can forego the rush, hurry to spend your last dime that goes along with shopping for Christmas in the Summer.

The retailers that do this is because they are a year ahead of all seasons and if they wait for you to make decisions for them they would no longer be in business. The reason everything is made in China is because of us the consumers who wanted affordable goods, most of everything we used at one time or another was made in this country until we started to complaining about prices. We live in a country where we can live the way we want to without being forced to do so. Our lives are very well lived with choices that does make us happy. QVC is a shopping channel and now you want them to change their model to suit you and i don't why they need to. We as consumers have allowed ourselves to ruin well meaning businesses because we had no need for them and I feel it is ashame. They have helped a lot of businesses in the pass but I hope that even if you don't like CIJ on the Q remember there are people who really need this to survive, Some of these businesses are small and not all of the products are junk, we caused this. Most products will never be made in this country because it will not be cost effective and besides if complain about it now, you will fine a reason later.
They do this out of pure greed. It is the American way, after all.

I refuse to watch those shows. We will be inundated with Christmas from September on anyway. I am very picky as to what presentations I watch on QVC, so there are others I wouldn't be caught dead watching either. My big question is WHERE are all these Christmas things made? Whose economy are customers contributing to.

@Secretariat1 If QVC can ruin your Christmas, the problem is not QVC.
Must be Christmas in July. Thankfully only once a year. You know it is going to happen so what?

I don't think they said they watch those shows.

@PINKdogWOOD wrote:@Secretariat1 CIJ has now turned into CIJune!!!!!!!!! What the heck is up with this? I also hate christmas all because of spending money no one has to buy stupid junk for other people and then having the nerve to think the recipient will just love what they just got. It's ludicrous. People can't pay their own bills but they seem to come up with money or better a piece of plastic to buy cr*p for others. Who ever thought of this anyway? Who thinks this is fun? Who thinks this is a good idea? Obviosuly and apparently many do! I've been there, being that recipient of horrendous bad ideas from others spending their money to get me something, anything. I more think people buy junk for others because they really wanted what they bought for themselves. Keep that stuff yourself, I do not want it nor need it.
Oh and let's not forget the day after this holiday with all the returns you just spent money on and gave to the recipient who hates what you bought. How does this make you feel?
Few people have money these days to be buying up tons of extra cr*p for others. Instead buy a box of books and donote to the children's ward of your local hospital. Go to your local grocery store and buy items to stock your local food pantry. There is so much more to do during the so-called holiday season people can do for lend a hand or a bag of groceries to someone else in more need.
You are on a roll and I agree 1,000% Commerce disguised as a holiday.
