Unlike many, I am enjoying every single day of this isolation. Do not misunderstand, I wish no one to have the virus, but my days are full and I don't have to leave home. I am tired when I go to bed.
Every day, I work out with zoom, Facebook, or the Y online, so I am seeing others, but I don't need to travel. I cook, bake, read, do watercolor, a little spring cleaning, a little tv watching, jigsaw puzzles, and taking care of my pets. I text and email friends. Groceries can be delivered. When the weather breaks, I will do some gardening. While I love traveling, I can view many things from my computer--not the same, but doable.
Obviously, there is something wrong with me, but I am loving this.

I guess by most social standards there is something wrong with me as well. And I don't even travel! But we have to acknowledge and be understanding of both ends of the spectrum. I know people who are undoubtedly going out of their minds. I feel for them, but I'm thankful that I know how to be alone.

@SXMGirl , There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with you. I and a lot of my friends are introverts and we are as comfortable or more with our own company as with others. We are all wired differently , and it sounds like you are handling this situation better than most. Be well, 🌺

I am with the rest of you!! I am an extrovert when in the company of others but basically a homebody who actually likes my own company. It's great for me not to feel like I should be socializing or going somewhere (don't get me wrong, I always have a great time when going anywhere). I definitely am not one who cannot wait to be out and about!!

If your retired then I get what you ladies are saying but I feel so bad for all the millions loosing their jobs. Not to mention all the small business owners who employ them. I want it all open....today would be good for me. I plan on visiting them all on day 1! I am praying they can hold on and make it.
For myself personally I don't enjoy this at all. Can't even buy a bag of soil or mulch....no paint no nothing for home improvement. Can't fish alone on a boat....can't do anything!
I will wear a mask and wash my hands....no problems...begin lifting this shut down where I am. I need to go out and about in life....and I am more on the introverted side of the coin.
Ground Hog day everyday....I don't like it!

I'm not having a problem with being home either. I have so much to do around the house. The days go by fast.
I do miss going to the gym, but other than that, I have enough to do or things to watch on TV that engage my mind.
I do crossword puzzles and have pulled out of some of my old 1,000 picture puzzles from years and years ago. I may still have the 5,000 piece puzzle that i purchased when I was in high school! LOL!

Being an ambivert (somewhere between intro and extro) I'm good with isolation, to a point. Working from home. There's some things I'd like to get done that require not being quarantined but I'm not going nutty. Yet.
ADHD extroverted daughter, whose major airline flights are getting cnx'd right and left, calls me often. She's in agony. You know -- a little drama thing going on. But she began doing Door Dash (delivering food) in her town and made $100 around the lunch hours yesterday. Haven't seen her this happy since quarantine began. She's wearing gloves and mask and following rules for her area. So no scolding about that. She works alone, drives a compact car and gas prices are low. Listens to her music in the car. Her roommates have been fussing a bit so she's away from that horror. People are thrilled to get their meals. Daughter's thrilled to have something constructive to do.

I love being home because one of my favorite people in the world is home with me...my husband. He was always working before he retired..a kind of self proclaimed workaholic from day 1 of our 45 year marriage. I think the past few months I have seen more of him than when we were raising our children. He's funny and upbeat and I really enjoy his company during this stay at home mandate in New York..
