Both my family and my husband's family are German, with familiar histories and precious documents passed down through the generations. The workings of the universe never cease to amaze me. But for the cruel actions of the “very good friends”, she probably would not have crossed paths with you.

So a negative actually turned out to be a positive. She now has friends who really care.
