So yesterday I finally ventured out to the grocery store.  I used to love to go.  Now, thanks to my back and knees......not so much these days.

Anyway, I was looking for one of my favorite (and fast) checkers when I felt a tug on my arm.

It was a sweet lady, maybe in her 60's who had a big smile on her face.

She said, "I love your top.  Come over here and let me touch it".  Well, maybe it would surprise or bother some people, but not me.  I'm always willing to chat with strangers, no matter where it is.

I pulled the cart to the side and let her 'feel it'.  She said, "It's beautiful!  It feels like lace".  (I'll show you which one it was in a minute...wait til I finish my story).

So, then she said, "Who's on the label"?  I said, "It's a QVC top.  Do you know QVC?"  She said, "Know QVC!  I used to work there.  But I had to quit,"  (She made a face....like disgusted).

I said, "Why?  What happened?"  She said, "Easy pay....it got me in trouble".  That's all she said about that subject.

But I said, (Putting my back to her) "Look at the label.  I think it's Isaac".  She tried to pronounce his name but couldn't.  That led me to believe it had been some time since she worked there as his clothes are pretty well known.  (Just guessing).

Anyway, by then it was time for her to check out.  She said she might look into QVC again.

So, there you go.  I might have sold something else for QVC (it's happened several other times), usually with perfume (Amazing Grace).

Oh!  I almost forgot.  The top.  You still wanna know?  It was item number @A306456

http://www.qvc.com/Isaac-Mizrahi-Live%21-Short-Sleeve-Printed-Lace-Knit-Top.product.A306456.html?ups...

It won't let me take a picture of it.  Anyway, it fits perfectly, but (this is very important and frustrating) the thing (lace) gets caught on everything, and I mean everything!

I had my purse over my shoulder the other day walking out of a building.  When I went to get into my car I couldn't get the purse off of my shoulder.  The only person nearby to help me was some guy smoking a cigarette outside of the building.

Thank goodness a lady came by to smoke too.  She took a few minutes but managed to get the blouse from the zipper.  Can you believe the toggle part of the zipper had slid into the lace and was there to stay?  She got it loose without messing up the lace.

So, if you decide to purchase it, be careful what you put next to it.  Otherwise it's beautiful and I love it!

That is a pretty shirt @Annabellethecat66.  What color do you have?  I don't recall having seen it on air, but I rarely watch Isaacs shows.  You could dress it up and wear it anywhere.

That’s a very pretty blouse. No wonder she was admiring it. I’m also happy you were able to free your purse zipper from the blouse 👚. Anyway loved your story.

@Kachina624 @OKPrincess The one I bought is called purple but it is much more muted than purple.

In fact (luckily) it totally matches the tanzanite jewelry I have.  Light purple (more mauve) is a better way of answering the color.

He's lately really into using this kind of material.  I have quite a few of his tops with this kind of material (most are plain colors).

I like the jewelry to match the outfit.  I just mainly go out to eat, to the Drs and stuff like that but I guess I dress nicely when I go out.

After my husband died in 2004 I decided to buy nice things and keep on going.

I don't do it for anyone but me.  I like to wear rings on my ring finger and pointer finger.  Unfortunately (due to arthritis) my fingers are so swollen the size 11 rings are getting tight on the pointer fingers (knuckles).

If I wear yellow all of my jewelry is citrine.  Purple is amethyst and so on.  You'd be surprised how much (or how often people notice and comment) on the fact that it's matched.

I think most people enjoy seeing color; but not as many people wear it.

It just makes me feel good to look what I think is nice.

That is a pretty top, one that I had not seem presented.  I am sure it looks lovely on you.

The thing that sticks out for me in your story is that she had to quit due to easy pay.  She probably bought too much and was spending her entire paycheck, if not more.  That is something we all have to watch out for.  I know the hosts get a discount.  I wonder if all the employees do.

Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else. Margaret Mead

Re: I Met A Lady Yesterday!

[ Edited ]

@Annabellethecat66  pretty top. I had one similar in ivory and had the same problems. I wore it twice and decided that was enough.
