Re: I Made The Mistake Of Going Outside!

We really need rain but I fear all we will get are nasty thunder storms with a short downpours.

We need a couple days of a nice steady rain to really soak in.

Re: I Made The Mistake Of Going Outside!

Having heard today's forecast I was out first thing this morning to pick up a few food items, then to the drug store for nail polish for a polish change and then home to water the plants out front.

Oddly, my small dog was enjoying the warm sun outdoors. I let him stay out for a bit but had to insist after several minutes that he come back inside!

Re: I Made The Mistake Of Going Outside!

@deepwaterdotter  Our rescue is doing just that and it is difficult to keep a supply of fresh, cold water.  The heat is unbearable, even with their shelters.  I have been putting their canned food in the fridge  so that at least their food is chilled and keeps the cats a little cooler.  I cannot wait for this week to be over.  The lowest temp in our area is predicted to be 92.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

The EXTREME heat and HOT Sidewalk and Street surfaces worry me - the uncaring, ignorant, people in my neighborhood walk their poor dogs ON THE SUNNY SIDE of the street - I wish they'd walk a city block BAREFOOT to see what they are putting their pet's paws through, it's horrible.

The heat is overwhelming.  I have fans and ac going all day and night.  I don't sleep well in the heat so I hope I can get a little rest tonight.

I walk my furry dogs in the heat and humidity. They don’t seem to mind. If it is too hot on their paws, they can keep on the grass if they want to.

Re: I Made The Mistake Of Going Outside!

We have been trying to walk around the neighborhood in the mornings before the heat gets intense....but yesterday the heat was up to 92 when we went out at 9 am and the humidity was “ air you can wear”...we barely made it back home and called it quits after 39 minutes. We took today off and hopefully can start really early in the morning. Supposed to be 104-106 this week...and high humidity...the humidity is what makes you feel drained or weak. Get inside when you feel like that and hydrate.
