I am not a fan of Amazon for reasons best left unsaid.  However, I am a fan of going to stores and businesses and seeing what I am buying and enjoying the experience of being out and about. I believe in supporting area stores which are very convenient. That is my opinion, what others do is theirs. Enjoy!

@NicksmomESQ

I'm sooooo spoiled by quick shipping using Prime.  In fact, I rarely order if not available with Prime shipping.

I got my gd artists paint pens for her bday.  Little did I know they are watercolor paints -- I gave them to her Sunday evening.  Then my DIL (who is artist) said you need watercolor paper🙄.  My GD was unhappy stores were closed to get right paper-- I ordered at 9:30 pm Sunday night on Monday at 11:45 am the pads were delivered to her!

Now that's service!

And so true about Q -- I get boxes & wonder "what are in them?"🤔 It takes about 7-10 days after my "want" item sits in processing 4-5 days before shipped YET can't cancel when I realize nope don't "need" it😉

I love it too!  Instead of searching in stores for something I search Amazon and bam it's here in two days.  I haven't tried the videos or movies though.

I go to a store and bam I bring the item home with me. No waiting at all. LOL

I belong to Prime Fresh.  I do all my grocery shopping.  Haven't been to a Supermarket in months.  I order everything weekly (usually on a Sunday)  the complete order arrives at my doorstep Monday morning.  Free shipping. If I forget an item....no problem.  I order again.  The item can arrive that day or the next.  Whenever I want it to.

Zappos has excellent shipping too-sometimes less than one full day.

@maximillian   Free shipping both ways.  I think, though, that you have to sign up now for the overnight shipping as a member-a points program of some sort.

They do have excellent customer service.

ITA @NicksmomESQ .  We love Prime.  We must order something or other 3x a week.  Yesterday morning I gave my pup the last pill pocket (she gave me the stink eye when she saw the empty bag).  I ordered on Amazon and had them delivered when I got home from work yesterday.  Free same day shipping on some items, can't beat that.

Do you get access to Prime videos etc in the 30 day trial?  If so you should take a look - many good original series and movies.

All of Prime benefits are included, except to additional family members.

Also, if you order that often, have you thought about Amazons new

feature....Amazon day? It's where you pick a certain day of the week

to have all your orders delivered, no matter which day you ordered.

This way, you'll know when they will arrive, plus save on vehicle emissions,

packaging and road congestion..among some of the benefits.

Theres SO MANY benefits to having Prime, or even Amazon in general.

I've thought about the employees and their working conditions.

And I also know that nearly everything we buy is made "somewhere else"under extremely harsh conditions.

But, since it's mostly "out of sight, out of mind",  the public will continue to

flood into the Dollar Trees and  Walmarts.

At least there is transparency, due to whistleblowers and reporters, about

Amazons treatment of its employees.

Theres  lots of employers who have equal or  harsher working conditions, but aren't under the scrutiny of the public like Amazon is.

Buying local is an admirable goal, which I do when possible.

I support local restaurants instead of chains, for example.

But it's difficult to find USA made (not assembled!) products, that's for sure,

I do enjoy Flea-Markets, where sometimes you can find old

kitchen appliances or furniture MADE IN the USA!

They're usually heavy, therefore sturdy.......well made, durable and

cheap.

It actually  saddens me when I see these products, once proudly manufactured here.......Back when Made in the USA meant QUALITY. (and when the employee had Retirement benefits..)

Its all so sad.

Other stores will deliver also, we have grocery stores that you order they will deliver or go to pick up even home depot started pick up. Some families have young children and dragging them into the stores you tend to over spend, elderly people or handicap people have a hard time going into huge stores. My grocery store is huge and I watch how some people having a hard time. I absolutely hate the mall. I do enjoy walking around the stores but understand there may be a day I can't. I do walk in & shop on line. We have a choice how we shop. My grocery store now has the scan guns, scan & pack as you shop. Haven't done that & honestly I have no idea how that works. Prime for me is wonderful & I do enjoy it, Christmas, who wants to fight those crowds?

I love Amazon too.  I had Prime for 2 years and then decided to let it go.  I still get my items in 3-4 days which is still great.

30 years ago I loved QVC.

@JumpTheRope  as long as we've been shopping with Prime (and as often) I've not heard about Amazon Day before now.  Going to check it out - thank you!
