I was sitting on my couch, watcing the debate, when the ground shook. It happened at 6:46p.m  Pacific. The size was 3.4 and the epicenter was located just 10 miles from me! That's a little too close! No damage, or anything. I am just glad that I have an earthquake kit, in case a big one hits.

I just hope that this wasn't a precursor to a larger one.

Frightening? Since I live in earthquake country, and in fact, there is a point, right off the coast of where I live, where three plates meet, the Pacific Plate, the North American Plate, and the Gorda Plate, it takes a lot to frighten me, when it comes to earthquakes.

It is known as the Triple Junction.

Since I moved here in 1989, I have gone through a couple of sixes, and even a size seven.

Now that's scary!

But when I first feel it, I always gasp, and wonder how strong it will be, and how long it will last.

Plaid pants, hope it is one and done.

It is that first jolt, and then waiting to see how long and how strong that gets to you.
