I just purchased a facial mask that has these (cord locks) on the it and they are so handy to adjust to each person's comfort.

The elastic has to be very thin on the mask to be able to be inserted into the adjuster clip

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

For a while there crochet and knitting sites were overrun with patterns for an oblong piece with 2 buttons on it to wear at the back of the head to make the mask tighter. My masks all fit and don't need to be tighter.

I just tie a knot in the mask, either ear loops or behind-the-head loops.

I have many sets of these. Bought years ago at Joann fabrics.
