Kudos for keeping that appointment, @wismiss , especially given your mother's history. Sending good thoughts for an easy prep and a clean bill of health!

Probably didn't want to loose the $ by being upfront and giving the patient a chance to change their mind.
@Imtep
Pretty sure the reason for quarantine has to do with Human Safety.

@Drythe , I think what Sooner was saying was that if they tell people when the test is scheduled that once they are Covid tested they have to quarantine, there are people who would choose not to have the test or procedure because of that.

ANY time you get a Covd test you should quarantine at least until you get the results of the test. Otherwise. as soon as you expose yourself to other people even if you take precautions, the test you took is worthless. Around here, that's around 7 days.

@Lipstickdiva, I think that @Drythe was responding to @rms1954, not @Sooner.

One again, that's not what I was saying. I think it is terrible that the dr's office did not tell someone about the quarantine because they might have had to make plans in advance to BE quarantined.
They did not inform a patient of potential disruptions to their lives that might have had to be dealt with or for which plans should have been made. THAT is all I was saying.
