Why is it necessary to insult the Among Friends posters and Gamers?

If Gamers were given back their own space, problem would be solved.  No former sub-forum should be forced to move elsewhere.

What does the spoiler sign mean?  I thought it meant I said something I shouldn't.  I am not the brightest bulb on the block when it comes to computer lanquage?

Lulu2, I wasn't insulting anyone. I was trying to think of a way to get away from the Gamers. I agree they need a sub-forum, but I'm not sure the Q plans to do that. Gamers want their own forum to just like the Viewpoint posters.

Jubilant, No you didn't do anything wrong. I think people are accidentally clicking on the "spoiler" space, when they they want to add an emoticon or something like that. I'm on an iPad now, but I noticed on my laptop yesterday those horizontal lines to use, fonts and stuff. It's hard to know exactly what your doing.

I saw that spoiler and wondered about it too. 

It seems to me that we all agree that Gamers need their own place but that doesn't solve the problem. We need to find a solution either the Gamers need to post on elsewhere or former  Viewpoints posters need to post elsewhere. Perhaps we could dicuss that and come up with a planrealizing that no solution will be ideal.

Yes, the "insert spoiler" icon is a face with the hand over its eyes, and for some (IE users I think?), it's the only icon in the bar above the reply box that's even showing up, so I think people are clicking it thinking they're adding a smiley.

But FYI, the spoiler box is a cool feature.  It lets you "hide" part of your post that someone has to click on to see...so if you were in a thread about a TV show or movie or something and you wanted to talk about a spoiler, you could use that and then only people who WANT to see it would see it.  Then you'd be sure you weren't going to accidentally reveal something to people who hadn't seen it yet.

VPers already ran AF out of their space, I don't think an invasion into AF would be welcome but Gamers need their own territory, they've always needed it and have been asked and told to leave other forums. I feel bad for them but...I hope they get their own home.
