occassionalrain, you like insulting people, I have noticed.  Among Friends is not Viewpoints, therefore, posters there do not want to debate issues.  If they do, they go to Viewpoints.  Many posters from Among Friends also post in Viewpoints. I believe posters created Among Friends to get away from the hostility that was found in Viewpoints, at least at one time.  I think Viewpoints, Gamers, and Among Friends should have their own place.

I was not addressing any one post.  Since the board changes, I've read a number of threads and posts that seem to insinuate, one forum was more important than another.  I do not think they are intentional snubs.

As a person who has never been a Gamer, it frustrates me to sift through all their threads, looking for a "VP" thread.  I know everyone would be happier if Gamers were re-instated as a separate forum.

dear Jubilant, Thank you for your post discussing why many of us like viewpoints. I am very new to this whole site (and not computer savvy). Yes there are a few sharks trolling on Viewpoints, but it doesn't take long to figure out who they are. We all have our favorites, which we all deserve to have. I have a question: If people are complaining only through "Suggestion Box" - obviously monitored by the same people who made a royal mess of this site - how can any of us expect constructive changes? When I called QVC on Monday to complain about this issue, I was told there were not many calls. I felt my concerns were listened to and there was a chance they would be forwarded to Corporate. It could be the best way to get attention. I doubt the creators of this mess would communicate CUSTOMER dissatisfaction to the high-ups. And many of us are CUSTOMERS. Please do not attack me. Your thoughts?

The "Please do not attack me" was not meant for Jubilant. Meant for anyone with unkind intentions, certainly not Jubilant.

I won't give my opinion on the non stop games but I don't think they belong on Viewpoints. Somebody Q YOU LISTENING...needs to give them their own forum..

As for why nobody mentioned this when suggestions were out..well since they had their own forum at that tmie..it was a non issue.

Hi, PamfromCT:  I think of lots of Viewpointers think that the moderators don't want us back....at least not the way we were before.  I also feel that Viewpoints could have been a great place if the moderators would have some "not so strict" rules but enforced the few they have.  I don't think it will do much good to complain as they want us dispersed.  I do think we will find each other and Among Friends is the most likely place....although I see some here are not comfortable with that.  I think it seems an "odd" combination to some.  It doesn't to me....people are people wherever they are and wherever we are there is always a mix.  I do agree the Gamers definitely need their own place.

Hi Jubilant, I totally agree with what you have said. It is obvious to me that Viewpoints was a hot potato QVC wanted gone. I'm sure the IT people were following mandates from corporate when this change took place. I can understand why some in Among Friends might be uncomfortable with some of Viewpoints. I guess I'm an old dog who finally realized you have to fight for what you want. If QVC has to constantly monitor Viewpoints, so be it. If Customer Service gets enough calls from very unhappy customers, you can bet Corporate will get the message. Got to fight for what you want. My very best to you!

I am an old Viewpoints person who will now post on Among Friends. Friends can have differences of opinion, so there it goes.

Everyone agrees Viewpoints, AF, and Gamers should each have their own forum but that is not the situation at hand. Right now there are hoards of gamer threads. The gamers don't wish to relocate and with good reason, their threads are are long standing. So, the obvious solution is for the viewpoints to post on another forum. Among Friends is the obvious choice. Those who don't like that solution can post on Mom to Mom, a seldom used forum. 

The fault is the Q's, they chose to keep two less used forums, AF and M to M while eliminating, if not the most used forums, close to it.
