It baffles me when people complain about issues in the news that they get tired of seeing/hearing. What happened to just change the channel?

I am also baffled when people complain about the importance (or lack thereof) of an issue just because they are not interested in or don't know anything about it. In today's technologically-advanced world, there is a wealth of free information at the fingertips of anyone that has access to a computer. If they are posting on this forum, weeeellllllll, I think we can assume they do.

I am referring to the recently-poofed thread about the selection process now ongoing in Rome.

Maybe I am in the minority (though I don't think so); but, if there is a topic appearing prominently in the new about which I know nothing, either I change the channel due to non interest or I take the time to find out why there is so much hoopla surrounding said topic.

Perhaps some people just gripe because they can.
