I once made a pie using pumpkin pie spice. Not a good idea. To me, the best pies are with separately measured spices.

I never had one either. Not tempted or curious.

I do not drink coffee and well I am not into the dessert drinks--tea, shake etc.

I never get a grande anything at SB, I get a tall. Less sugar, fewer calories.

"Pumpkin Spice Latte"
Eww...sounds awful to me.
What is that? Some fast food thing?

@GingerPeach You taught me something new. Most pumpkin spice items do not have pumpkin purée in them...just the pumpkin spice.
I looked it up and saw that you are correct. SB does use a very small amount of pumpkin in their lattes.
No need to smack you on the head.
When I use canned pumpkin, even organic, it tastes like the can to me.
I buy fresh long neck pumpkins every fall. My DH cuts them and peels them for me. He wears gloves...the skin irritates your hands. I cook it down and purée it and place it in zip lock freezer bags...some 2 cups and some 4 cups.
I use it in recipes for Thanksgiving, Christmas and throughout the winter months. The taste of fresh is worth it for me.
I am sure your dog loves it from the can. I have never tried giving my dogs pumpkin, but they do love Fruitables pumpkin dog treats.

I envy what I am sure are amazing aromas in your house during fall!
No matter how nice the one from a can might be, a great fresh one is sure to beat it.
I thought I'd add that I warm up her meals, unless it's a super hot day. I think it's nicer for her, and brings out the scent more.
Happy almost fall, @Carmie
p.s If you get a chance when it's time, maybe post pics of one of those pumpkin goodies. 🥧

A tall PSL has 300 calories and 39 grams of sugar.

@Anonymous032819 Right, less. You can also ask for it skinny...skim milk, no whipped cream (can't remember if the regular comes with whipped ream).
