I Hardly Recognize QVC These Days.....

What on earth is going on? I am by no means a long-term viewer like some on this board who have apparently been with QVC from Day One. But even I, in the few years I have been watching, have noticed many changes, and not for the better. For example, even 5 years ago you could count on special Valentine's Day jewelry shows, and certainly jewelry shows before Christmas. This year there were none to be seen for Christmas, and not even one for Valentine's Day. Now I know that the price of gold and even silver have gone way up, but how about some Steel by Design or lower priced sterling? How about more emphasis on fashion - and a fashion show devoted to FASHION and not face creams, foundation garments and socks? These days you are lucky to see 10 fashion items in a 2-hour show (see AM and PM Style for example). I am so SICK of seeing these ridiculously expensive skincare lines which are each supposed to be better than the one before and which basically do little or nothing for anyone. My Mom used Pond's face cream all her life and had the most gorgeous skin imaginable. Please stop the hype and remember that people these days want to see reasonable prices. I find myself tuning out the Q more than ever these days....and I really want to enjoy it like I did a few years ago. But I don't see that happening anytime soon, unfortunately.

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
