Enjoy your new car! My DD has a 2014 Camry and loves it. They hold their value.

But don't be skeptical of cars with low mileage. lol. Our one car is a Subaru and its 3 years old and only has 15,000 miles on it. (We only use to run errands, visiting people, and for Dr appts. My DH drives our old car to work).

I am laughing..my car is just six months old and has 16,000 miles on it..I put a lot of miles on it for work..!

I'm not going to say what I paid for my car, but it was more than double than where I found it in the "Used" section on the website.

I think you should just say what you paid for the car, Yuban. Then let everyone calculate precisely whether you got a good deal or not. After that is resolved, they can pick over whether you got a good enough warranty......if the floor matts were thrown in....and whether it came with free oil changes for the life of the car. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

To be on the safe side why not check on any recalls on your vehicle ?

I'm thinking the same thing. Just double check.

Yuban, you can have a check run on it to make sure it had never been in an accident, and also tests to make sure it's in good condition.

If there was any problem and they didn't tell you, that's their fault, not yours. Full disclosure. There was also a recall on some of the 2013 Toyotas.

But I know how happy you are, congratulations Smile

I'm happy for you, enjoy your new car and don't allow those who are professional fault finders ruin it for you.

Everyone who buys a used car should check to see if it's been in an accident. It's free and the records are available.

Sorry you don't know that and that you'd rather remain in the dark.

Well, there was personal stuff inside the car when I took it for a test drive, so somebody was driving it before I got the car. And as for the price, I should clarify, that the dealership had put the car in the wrong category. It actually ended up costing more than what they had it showing for, the $0 - $5,000 price range. On the website it said to "Contact dealer" about the price.

And my boo-boo, it's actually a 4 door Carolla. I don't know why I thought it was a Camry. I've only had it for two days now.

My DH has a 2010 COROLLA, he got it in the cash for clunkers deal. Two more months and it will be paid off! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

The dealership has been contacting him several times, in the last 6 months, wanting him to "trade it in" on a new model. It has 45,000 miles on it, is in pristine shape and maintained by the book. The only thing it needed was new tires at 40,000 miles.

I do know that and before I'd buy a used car I'd check Car Facts, Kelly, and Edmonds. However, if a friend bought a car I wouldn't try to put doubt into their mind and ruin it for them which many here are clearly doing.

The OP came here happy and excited about her new car and posters have tried to take that away and it is shameful.

I don't mean to burst your bubble but I would go have the car checked out. it could have been a lemon for the previous owner. something does not sound right. Please have the car checked out. My husband is a manager at BMW.

Your payments should have been almost nothing even if the car sold for $5000 with tax/license.

For $300 a month you could have bought a new car.

Can't ya'll just be happy for her?

Good for you, Yuban! Enjoy the excitement of a new to you car and I hope it lasts as long as your Nissan-

Having seen people get burned I just wanted to help.

Really, that's all.

I hope the car serves her well for many years to come.

That's the way I took your comments Kitty. AS trying to be helpful and give her a heads up to get things checked out while there was still time. We would feel really bad to come back here next week and find that Yuban didn't get such a good deal after all.

Wow, that sounds like you made a great deal.

And Toyotas are made in the USA, so I don't see what's "unpatriotic" about owning one.

Enjoy your new ride!!

(I agree that I hope you had it checked out before laying down the $$)

Some people have this ridiculous idea that one should only buy American cars, like Ford, GM, et. al. and look down their nose at anyone who buys a foreign vehicle. Why, I don't know, but they do.

I buy American cars because the insurance is lower. HA and my dh is a manager for a BMW dealership.
