Was on my way to my hair stylist and I noticed a car tail gating me. This went on for awhile and I almost did my "tapping brake thing" but I didn't. I kept looking in my mirror to figure out why or who it was. It looked like an unmarked car but sometimes kids here buy these cars after the police sell them but I wasn't sure.

So as I was pulling in the parking lot he came in behind me, got out of his car, walked up to mine. He politely asked me if I had seen his lights on. I replied "no, because you didn't have them on". I said "frankly I thought you were a civilian riding my a@@". He said he wasn't sure he had his lights on, he tried to put them on but was having troubles. (I thought that seemed strange).

Anyhoo, he told me my plate expired. I said my husband probably just forgot to put that little sticker on. He said, no it's expired. So I gave him my insurance info/license and he left. I call my DH and said "guess what, I'm pulled over" He said "for what" I said "um, cop says my plate expired" He replied "omg I forgot about that". So he came back and I told him that I just talked to my Dh and he was getting online to pay asap. He said he was going to let me go with a warning, and mentioned his computer isn't working.

So I told him I certainly would have pulled over had he had the lights on. He mentioned that he had been a cop for 20 years and never had problems with the lights, but totally believed that they weren't on. Whew!

So I told the story to my stylist and she said "are you sure he was even a cop, lights don't work, computer won't work" we chuckled. He was nice.

Cant believe we overlooked that. This vehicle's inspection is a different month than the registration which through us off.

Never happened before, and it won't again. heck I've never had a speeding ticket!

what a day!
