I walk into a room and forget what it was I was looking for.  It doesn't take long for my memory bank to kick in and I get what I was there for, but, it does leave me uncomfortable.  How about you?Woman Frustrated

I walk out and then walk back in and the purpose of being there usually kicks in.

@Lindsays Grandma

Supposedly crossing a threshold i.e. going from one room to another has some effect on memory. Go back to the original room and then it's easier to remember what you forgot. A lot of walking lol.

Re: I GET SO ANNOYED WHEN...

My same age Hubby and i recently spent a full five minutes debating about what day and date it was. Sitting in our matching recliners. Both of us too lazy to get up and look at the calendar. We continued to be wrong on all counts. Five minutes of our lives we will never get back. 😁😂🤣

Re: I GET SO ANNOYED WHEN...

Years ago a former co-worker in her early 70's said she had a trick which helped her with this type of thing.

Example ...  If she was going into another room to get her scissors, she'd say to herself "scissors, scissors scissors" as she was walking.  When she got to the other room, she knew why she was there.  Woman LOL  lol

Re: I GET SO ANNOYED WHEN...

I love it when a grandson runs up to tell me something and I can tell they have forgotten. I tell them, "kid it's all downhill from here for you." They don't know what I am talking about, but I do.  LOL
