The murderer only shot the victims by the way they answered the question.
I can only assume if you were not Christian, the answer would be no?
He didn't ask do you believe in God?

Early Calvinism. I'm glad my church doesn't teach that anymore, there is just so much wrong with it.
"Why should I even try, it's all predestined."

We need to ask what did Christians do to him to cause him to do such things?
Anyone asking that? Anyone wondering that?
Something happened.

This has reminded me of a quote I like. Kesey has a way with words.
“For there is always a sanctuary more, a door that can never be forced, a last inviolable stronghold that can never be taken, whatever the attack; your vote can be taken, you name, you innards, or even your life, but that last stonghold can only be surrendered. And to surrender it for any reason other than love is to surrender love.”

And what sbout your family?
I'm sure that they would like to keep you around for a while longer.
Why not stick around for them?
Are they not worth sticking around for?

But it does seem like all the Christians are talking as if all of them are innocent in every way. We do not know that maybe lots of Christians taunted him and said mean things to him that set him off.
Something happened to him.... that brings in the religion of the Christians to do this.

According to this NY Post article, it says the shooter asked individuals whether they were Christian: http://nypost.com/2015/10/01/oregon-gunman-singled-out-christians-during-rampage/
If they said they were, they were killed. If they said no, or didn't answer, they were shot in the leg.
What I don't understand is why some people here think this is being a martyr and "dying for your faith." It was not their choice. If they could have escaped, I have no doubt they would have, and not stuck around to be killed.
How does it benefit you, Christian or non-Christian, to be killed by a person of this ilk?

Those are not excuses; they may be reasons, but they are NEVER excuses.
