I dont understand many commercials today either. It seems to me that what the commercial shows is nothing about what they are selling. I just thought it was my age. Now I dont feel so dumb.

@Patriot3: I really enjoy that commercial too. Always stop to watch it. Puts a smile on my face but never remember what insurance company it's for😃

The best advise I've heard this year is do NOT eat any food or take any medicine that has an ad. The ads for 'new' medicine mean big pharma maybe changed a little something of the old medicine, changed name and packaging and can now charge $$$$. And of course, advertised food is mostly fried, crunchy or cheesy and not good for you

The recent Hormel pepperoni commercial with the one-man-band and the cymbals? So annoying.
I love the Flo Progressive commercial with all the soap opera dialogue and Susan Lucci's entrance down the staircase---she has just come out of a coma---in a glittering gown: "Go back to your room, Susan Lucci!"

Which is a big turn off. They are so scripted and phony at the same time!

Good grief. As if all commercials aren't so scripted and phony. I'll take those with a nod to diversity any day over most of the stuff I see.

I don't need a company to teach me a diversity lesson -that's not why I buy a product
I agree that it's a turnoff to many people
