@QueenDanceALot - we got what you meant about - don't shoot the messenger - message. Didn't give it a second thought.....Didn't think it was offensive.

this is getting to be ridiculous..Well @QueenDanceALot tell them I'm offended that they were offended.......
..............pretty soon anyone with an animal avatar will have to change because someone is allergic to animals so just a picture of one offends them.....

@QueenDanceALotThat is ridiculous. Heck I can't tell what half of the avatar are even with my glasses on. The person you "offended" had to look mighty hard. Personal vendetta?

I didn't see your avatar, so I can't comment on that. I love animal pics though. Did the Q tell you someone was "offended"?

I can't even tell what most of them are by the tiny picture.

They said it was upsetting to some posters.

I truly hope no one thought I was advocating violence against animals!
I can't stand the thought of any animals being hurt!!

People "are offended" by avatars, sig lines, whatever. What about those who are offended by those who need to find things to be offended about?
It's often not that people are actually offended by whatever it is, it's a way to "get" a poster someone doesn't like. It's an anonymous "gotcha!" It's going around looking for anything and everything that just *might* be considered against standards IF someone claims they find it offensive.
For years I've used a silly/funny photo online in groups (not here) on Halloween that depicts the nekkid heinie of a very large woman painted like a jack-o-lantern. (I am large, so I didn't consider it derogatory, just funny.) Everyone enjoyed it for 2-3 years. Last year, some friend-of-a-friend type reported it to FB, who removed it for "nudity."
Recently, I reported a photo that showed a clearly sexual innuendo-filled post that had a close-up of a young woman's rear and veiled suggestions as to what might be done with the young woman in reference to her anatomy. That was *clearly* against standards, and it was removed. The nudity wasn't the point to me, the innuendo *with* the nudity was. But FB uses "nudity" as their catch-all reason - any and all nudity. That was a far cry in visual impact AND intent than my photo, but no difference to FB.
