Because Tuesday 12/21 is the winter solstice, so after that the days will get longer. I hate these "dark at 5pm" days.

Agree….I find it depressing and it makes me feel tired. 6pm feels like 10pm.

@DREAMON  Ditto! What prompted this thread was my feeling like it's been a long evening and getting tired and I should go to bed, then looking at the clock and seeing it was only 9pm.

I like the seasonal changes. Light/dark number of hours, fine with me. What I would like is the "saving time change" nonsense to stop. Saving time? Who's time? Not mine.

ONLY 9 pm?   Heck, that's when I usually go to bed anymore.  LOL!

I never mind when darkness comes earlier.  In fact I don't even think about it.  I know it affects many people but I go about my business as usual , early darkness doesn't interfere.

I totally agree with you.... 

it's antiquated and messes with many folks internal clocks

As I have gotten older my perfect night vision has gotten awful.
