Some of you know that my Dad has been in a nursing home for some time now.  He passed away yesterday.  He brought so much laughter and love into our lives. We will miss him very much. I am mostly concerned for my mother.  They were married 69 years and were still very much in love.  She said goodbye to her "blue eyed sailor boy".  He had a couple of grand mal seizures and died early the next morning about 11 hours after the seizures.  We are thankful that God took him so quickly.  We prayed that he would. Please pray for my mother.  She is soon to be 88 and this is taking a real toll on her.

@jubilant- I am so sorry to hear about your dad's passing.  I lost mine last summer and still am having trouble coming to grips with it.

The loss of either parent is so difficult.  Sending my deepest condolences to you and your family.

I too have lost my dad. As each day passes I miss him more. He suffered with cancer. God had  daddy's room ready I understand my dad is no longer suffering. I just miss him so---ooo. My heart is with your mom and you,
