the ravens game has been PAINFUL to say the least! no offense, no defense and no points and it is getting close to the 4th quarter!!!!

@sunshine45

Are you sure they didnt send the wrong team from the MD/DC/VA area?????  Maybe my team went to London by mistake and just thought someone packed the wrong uniforms and wore the Ravens unis...........you described my team no offense (except for RB Chris Thompson), no defense....only decent special teams.....

i don't know what the problem is.  I know on my tv set, there's a zillion other channels with different tv shows you can watch.  Im sure yours is the same too.  Push one of the buttons on your tv remote and I'm sure the channel will change to something else.  Doesn't take much effort.

@Blingqueen023- that's really not the point though.  Every time we have one of these threads someone comes on with this kind of response.

Every single person knows they can change the channel.  No one needs to come on and remind them of that.  This kind of response is condescending and rude.

The overall point (and you know this) is that QVC has changed and long time viewers/shoppers have noticed it and it's disappointing.  Their programming has gotten stale.  They drive presentations of products right into the ground.  Hours and hours of one product.  It's disappointing when one of your favorite stores or restaurants changes and you think it's not for the better.

I think the old timers, me included, long for the QVC of old- where you saw a mix of lots of different products and you actually did enjoy most of the shows.  Like the 50 in 50 tour.  I'd specifically watch those thoses.  Silver Style was a don't miss for me.  We had remote controls back then too and all of us knew we could change the channel if we wanted.  We don't need to be reminded of that.

I think what most of us are really saying here is that we'd really like to watch QVC again and enjoy the products and presentations.  It's a shame that their retailing model has changed.

@gidgetgh

Well said!  And to prove their model isnt working, all they have to do is look at revenue numbers............I wasnt around the for the 50/50 tour nor Kathy Levine and some of the other male hosts they had way back then, but their are some funny You Tube videos others poined out on Micke Rowe as QVC hosts....

I dont understand why some have a problem with customers asking for a little variety in the products/programming. QVC is never going back to what it was, but come on all the products available on their website and they run a handful into the ground.....even when they don't sell well at all and havent for years like electronics, overpriced resin glad, fake gemstone jewelry, and even some clothing designer's had disappointing sales.......others had excellent sales too...But my question is after you've bought your vacuum, bed, mattress, beauty products....are you going to buy it again the following week and the week after and the week after that, next year....etc etc etc..QVC doesn't seem to care about keeping their current customer base engaged...they try to lure in new customers, but if you flip the channels and see the same ole stuff will you even tune in????//....

@Annabellethecat66

I would love to see the hosts/vendors have a few glasses of wine --- then go out there and vacuum - and tell u 10 different things u could do with the vacuum. That would make a great show!!!

Re: I Am So Tired of Vacuums - All Day Long!

@kivah  My life (for some reason) is divided by the year 2004 - before and after.  That's when my husband died so that when life changed....anyway, it was the year 2004 when my husband brought home a purple Dyson vacuum cleaner.  Not many people had heard of them back then and I thought he'd lost his mind.

He always wanted me to get an upright and I always said, "I want a canister....the day you vacuum...you can pick the vacuum".  Well my back got so bad I couldn't vacuum and although in 38 years he'd never vacuumed....he would have to...He wanted me to hire a maid and I said, "No way".  I stay home all day....no way...

So, hence, he brought home the purple 'Animal" Dyson.  It is very heavy but vacuums like none of the new one's.  I know because I have 2 Dyson wireless and one new Animal upright.  That first one still does best!

I never got a picture of him vacuuming but I did get one of him ironing something.  Ha!  I didn't mind doing that stuff because I didn't work and loved being a mom and homemaker...

Anyway, I always pick red everything, but usually I don't care what color flashlight or most things.  Kitchen stuff I like red but only because it sits out.

Evidentally, people care about the color of their vacuum?  Go figure!  QVC is like a nut job about listing the colors of stuff like that, but when it comes to clothes and things, they often only show you one time (and give them the dumbest names)....I'm yelling at the TV....what's the freaking color....meanwhile the hostess is bla blaing about something totally dumb!

I'm going to go watch the Redskins....they are probably loosing really good by now...unfortunately...I live a few miles from DC....we in VA never, never say, DC or Maryland...that's an insult...but we do love the skins....

Re: I Am So Tired of Vacuums - All Day Long!

I kept thinking .... if that girl vacuums up that pile of stuff one more time....please Lord....let it spew everywhere for something different....please!

OK, one reason I bought two stick Dyson vacuums because the thought of cleaning up the cat litter with the same vacuum I vacuum up my house or kitchen with is just gross to me.  It's not like I'm going to eat off of the floor, it just seems gross.

My cats throw that litter everywhere.  I bought one of those deep cat boxes and they STILL throw the stuff everywhere....I investigated and finally saw the boy (Bill) is the guilty one.  I don't know how he manages because he's never thrown out one poop just the litter everywhere!  It's still gross to use the same thing to clean rugs and kitchen.....

C'mon @Annabellethecat66,

I know you have heard of the DVR. Heck, I've mentioned it in many posts such as yours. Then there is that button on your remote.

Re: I Am So Tired of Vacuums - All Day Long!

@hckynut Why yes!  I have heard of the remote and I do use it (as do others that have also commented on the repitition) now that you kindly reminded me!  Thanks!

However, I do every now and then flip over to QVC to see what's being offered and....Oh!  Whoops!  There are those darn vacuums being sold still.....back to the good old ummm...what was it...Oh! Yes!  That dag gone remote...push...push...two hours later...back to QVC....what's that...Oh! My!  Still the vacuum!  and so it goes the mother of all run on sentences...thanks for the reminder....

@kivah Do you use your remote too?  If not, @hckynut is reminding both of us to use it...thank him/her

Re: I Am So Tired of Vacuums - All Day Long!

I know how to use my remote, too!  I understand the point of this thread.  When we do have some time to watch tv, which includes the shopping channels, some items are more interesting than others.

Most of us have learned how to use a vacuum by the time we're 10 years old.  It's just silly to see someone pushing that thing back and forth, back and forth, back and forth....
