Re: I Am So Tired of Vacuums - All Day Long!

I feel for the hosts.  I mean can you imagine trying to come up constantly with something 'different' to say about a vacuum cleaner?  Sometimes they show the thing at the end of the hour and the beginning of the hour back to back, the same hostess.....I can't imagine.

Sometimes I'll watch just to see or hear what they come up with.  I wonder if they ask family and friends, "So....give me some ideas on what to say about a vacuum cleaner".

I know people tune in at different times, but good grief!  It does get crazy.  The same vacuum cleaner over and over and .........

I just thought of something.....I'm doing that exact same thing by posting about the vacuum cleaner over and over.  Ha!

@Annabellethecat66 Vacuums are a trigger. They make you want to lash out! They represent everything that we don't like about cleaning. On the other hand, some people like cleaning more than nearly everything. My DH loves discussing vacuums. When we got our current vacuum, he told EVERYONE about how well it worked. QVC, on the other hand, should realize that he doesn't watch.... I do

@Annabellethecat66 I so agree. This is supposed to be a Christmas weekend. Didn't anyone get the memo that you don't give vacuum cleaners for Christmas??? If I want a sweeper, I will do the research and get one on my own The last thing I want to watch on TV is someone sweeping up dirt!! Don't I have enough of that??

I was thinking the same thing.  Every time I checked the Q channel that item was being shown. regardless of what the show was called!!!

Holiday show with Dan was mostly presenting the vacuum.  Then right after, another hour show of the vacuum.  What a way to turn people off!!

I agree.  Not sure why those in charge of programming think these shows are entertaining.

Lol.   But, I'm guessing that many folks order them.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

look at the quarterly reports......vacuums and mattresses sell......jewelry is NOT selling. THAT is why we are seeing what we are seeing.....it all boils down to SALES and profit.

I have a suggestion...  Watch the Hallmark channels instead.

Reports came out the other day that the the Hallmark channels are now the most popular channels on cable.  No violence, nice shows.  They are so popular, they are adding a third channel soon.

One channel for old shows like The Golden Girls, one for mysteries, and the third will be light drama.  I like Murder She Wrote.

Re: I Am So Tired of Vacuums - All Day Long!

I set my alarm for 6 am this morning local time.  Silly me, I thought I'd make coffee and enjoy a christmas shopping program.  Unfortunately it was at least two hours of vacuuming and almost a half hour on toothbrushes.

And don't get me started on the 3 or 4 year old gift wrapped presents they use on set.  If I never see mint green with stripes and pink with polkadots on presents again....sigh.
