Can you imagine how many thousands of people across the country ordered a custom made product after the company was highlighted on GMA? Sounds like only allowing 2 weeks for them to process your order was at least 4 weeks too short. It sure sounds like this is a small company that is unable to keep up with the orders they received and probably weren't expecting. Chill out and send a photo of what you ordered to the recipient....!
Edited: seeing other posts reminded me of the time I ordered a bracelet from a company one of our local TV channels had partnered with - a different product and company each day - the "deal of the day". I ordered the bracelet and received it 3 or 4 weeks later. What a disappointment - just plain cheap. I was able to get my money back, but I never again have ordered anything that was promoted on TV. Lessons learned.

@qbetzforreal, it's Good Morning America. This was one of Tory Johnson's steals and deals. I never ordered from them before, but one would think they were a reputable company that Tory would have checked out.
@Jordan2 I ordered a bath robe from I think an NBC deal like that once and it took forever and a day to get it. I don't think those tv deals like that are very reliable. I wouldn't do it again.

I'm sorry to hear @Jordan2 that you're having an issue with your order and I think some posters may be right - that the company has been overwhelmed with orders. No excuse for the incorrect information given to you, but it might be the reason.
I've ordered from "View Your Deal" and "Deals and Steals" the past two years and I've always gotten my orders in a timely fashion. The latest one I placed (with Babyfoot) took a bit longer than normal, but it arrived safely.
I do hope you get the pillow you ordered and I think the advice about contacting GMA directly, is a good suggestion.

Last year thru the GMA deals I bought an Alex and Ani gingerbread bracelet at a really great
price. It was the first time I ordered from seeing it thru the GMA deals but it came within a
reasonable amount of time.
I don't watch GMA much anymore so I guess I am missing out on some deals.
So much confusion, hopefully you will receive very soon.

Fingers crossed, I'm suppose to get my order tomorrow, I really hope so.

Fingers crossed with ya! ![]()
I haven't seen these GMA deals, but I've seen the 'The View' deals. Most of them seemed like junk but one day they had this really cool, very long, hooded sweatshirt-type top and I ended up buying one. I had a feeling it would take forever but was really surprised that it was fairly fast. I mean, not Amazon-fast, but faster than ordering something from QVC! ![]()
BTW, love this thing and wish I could have gotten more than one. It is the softest fabric I have EVER felt. But the reg price on them is $100 and I paid $47 for the deal of that day. Can't see clear to buy another one for $100, but am watching if it shows up on sale again.

When I see those steals and deals on a nationwide show, I have to wonder if the supplier is equipped to deal with a sudden surge in orders.

Several years ago I ordered a bracelet that was one of those "special deals" on a local TV stations - one of the so-called "deals of the day". What a joke. After weeks of waiting (it was supposed to be a Christmas present), it finally arrived and it was a piece of junk. I tried to contact the company that I purchased it from but couldn't get a response. I finally complained to the TV station and their customer representative got involved. I eventually got a refund, but I learned a lesson.....those deals are not good deals.

Jordan2 "what is GMA"? This is not criticizing you; but it's just so precious! There are no wrong questions, I have learned through these many years.

I’d understand being frustrated, disappointed, saddened, but seething? That seems to be an overreaction. Mistakes and oversights happen when dealing with online shopping. I’m sure many of us can relate. Your friend is no child, you can explain that you planned for the gift to arrive on time but there was a problem on the company’s end. If she’s a mature true friend, she’ll understand.
