Hurricane Irma - FL residents...

Although Irma is about a week away from nearing Florida, this was the latest HU posted on CNN:

 

"Florida Gov. Rick Scott urged the state's residents to ensure their disaster supply kits were ready.
"FL knows how important it is to be prepared. Encourage your loved ones to have a plan ahead of any potential storm," Scott tweeted Sunday. "Disaster preparedness should be a priority for every Florida family."

The latest models show one senerio of Irma going all along the FL east coast and heading up to SC too...

Every update is so important now for those areas...and surrounding locations.

Up to a Category 4.  Monster storm.  Wish it would take a sudden turn and go out to sea.  But I fear that's wishful thinking.  Seems to even be strengthening, sadly.

Here in NC we are familiar with hurricanes, poking out in the Atlantic as we do.

 

I always worry about the poor wild ponies.  Born and raised here, our Emergency bags stay pretty much packed and animal crates ready to load.

 

But geez please Irma turn right!
