@gidgetgh,  I'm about 2 hours north of you and this area is expecting the heavy rain and wind to start around midnight.   Rain has already started.

If you are interested go to accuweather.com and enter your zipcode.  Look for the red box labeled storm tracker and click on start.  It will show you how far the storm is from your location.

My area was very quiet last night and just rain. Yesterday morning and afternoon thunder storms with trees down and 3000 without power until 5 p.m. This was the opposite side of town and not my neighborhood. Flood warning ended and cloudy forecast for today.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

@SouthernBee Glad you are okay.

We are extremely windy and wet with a lot of road debris, but I made it into work. Probably going to be an early day. Most of my coworkers are not here and my boss didn't expect me in.

Looks like it wasn't as intense as they said it was going to be although we still have 13 weather warnings going, mainly floods and tropical alerts.

I feel bad for the Carolinas who got a surprise based on what we were all told it should have been and where it should have been.

News is reporting just under 12 inches of rain at the airport. A friend of mine, on the other side of my county, had 12 inches in her rain gauge. 

I was up most of the night so i am slllllloooooowwwwww getting going this morning,  but thankful and relieved that we did ok. Winds weren't as high as they predicted and my yard drained all that rain well.  I'm so thankful.

All new records and lots of damage!

And Helene stayed 125 miles out in the Gulf!

Prayers are still needed!  Thousands without power!

Edited to add:  Just read that 4.4 million are without power!

My prayers for Western NC.  Terrible flooding.  We are having multiple tornado warnings in different places across the state.  Thank you for your prayers 🙏.
