Re: Huge python captures/squeezes woman for 2 hours in her kitchen

How would something that size get into a house?  Do they leave doors and windows open?   That's awful.

This little lady is strong and brave! Can you imagine doing dishes and a pyhton wraps around you for two hours Smiley Surprised? I am so glad that she got rescued.  That phython better never try to mess with her again.

I'm hoping someone has the answer ......

Aren't pythons really SLOW?   I would think most humans could "outrun" them.

If I'm recalling correctly, a woman in Florida was killed by a python while walking to work.  She left home, but never showed up at work!

Somehow the snake actually managed to swallow a part of her.  I don't get it.   If I was out taking a walk and saw a huge python, I'd probably be off and running 60 miles an hour in less than 3 seconds!

How could this happen in a place where people know they live?

@Tinkrbl44

Pythons are not always slow movers; they do have a high gear!  I faithfully watch Swamp People; Serpent Invasion where the same teams that hunt alligators during the season also hunt pythons in Florida.  Those snakes move fast on the ground and can get away quickly.

It is my guess that since many of the homes (huts) in Thailand are not as sturdy or secure as our homes, it is extremely easy for snakes to find/make a way in.  I feel sure doors are left wide open, along with windows that have no screens.

This is just horrible. Wild things have fewer and fewer places to live as human populations continue to explode.

@Love to Run   I know ,  we are taking over land that belonged to them.   Snakes I don't care at all about ,   But deer, bear, mountain lions etc.   we need to keep some land for them to live instead of building on every inch of space there is . The land we have now is all there is  , God isn't making anymore land.   We need to learn how  to live with nature..

Wow. . . I'm with the others, 2 hours? I would have been dead from fright.

@We rescue cats  me too 🙀. I would have died on the spot !!!   I hate snakes,  they scare me to death literally !  I'm thankful I've never come across one all these years ! I know they are out there , we live in a wooded area , my DH has seen them , harmless garden snakes, but still I'd run for the hills if I came across one 😱
