This is a terrifying story. Google it. This python surprised this woman in her kitchen and she was stuck for 2 hours until help arrived. Omg! The python slithered away and wasn't captured.
In this photo provided by Kunyakit Thanawtchaikun, a python coils itself around Arom Arunro's torso, squeezing her down to the floor of her kitchen in Samut Prakan province, Thailand, Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024.

What a terrifying, nightmare for this poor woman.

Ewww, that's horrifying. That's one tough little lady, though.
She stuck it out for 2 hours? I would have had a heart attack in the first minute.

How did help know to come? Did someone hear her screaming?

This is just horrible. Wild things have fewer and fewer places to live as human populations continue to explode.

Wow! How terrifying!!
Just think, pythons.... big ones have become an invasive species in the Florida Everglades! There is a short fence along the highway that runs next to the Everglades and on the other side are many communities in SE FL.
My mother's condo was in a community only a couple of miles from the Everglades. I did see a large snake once swimming in the canal behind her building from her sunroom. Thank goodness she was on the second floor so there was less likely of a critter getting in.

I wonder how she lived for so long? Supposedly they kill you within a couple of minutes.

@BlueFinch I would have been right there with you! OMG, simply cannot do snakes!

Ok, so I didn't read the story and am just responding to what I've seen here, but I find this to be very odd.
If the python was wrapped around her, why didn't he just squeeze her to death? Isn't that what they do? And was he literally wrapped around her for two full hours???
Also, he "slithered" away and couldn't be found? How does something that large get away so quickly without being seen??
Ugh. I better go read the story!
