. . . hanging around in the tree outside my bedroom window for weeks. I'm not superstitious, but it's really starting to bother me.

That, and the sick person next door make me so anxious to get out of here, I hope I make it. One more week.

We have BIG crow visitors regularly and sometimes for weeks at a time. Some are much bigger than the hawks that also visit. But, that is why we chose our home with 300 or so trees, we like watching all the flying visitors, even the HUGE Wild Turkeys. Hope this week goes by quickly for you so you live in piece once again. My best to you Ford1224.

Ford, sometimes animals can be messengers in a sense. Here's what crow means.

Crow:

Crow is a harbinger of change; spiritual, mental and emotional. Life, death, rebirth, transition magic, watchfulness, look for opportunities coming up, aids in ability to move spiritually and physically. They teach the power and balance of light/dark and spiritual/physical. He teaches to create and manifest things in our lives, all of life is waiting. Crow announces a newness on the horizon. Are you aware of the nuances in life? Are you listening to signs around you? Crow can give strength and show you how to maneuver in intuitions and insights.

You know what I have visiting every so often. Turkey buzzards. I guess there is good road kill for them. But they hang in the trees. Sometimes you can hear the clumping around on the roof. The dog watches them when they fly around with their huge wingspan. They are so ugly but I guess they serve their purpose in cleaning up. I will take the crows if you take my buzzards.

That is crazy. The birds have one thing on their mind and that is a good meal. Sometimes two things on their mind. Mating is the other. I couldn't go through life believing this nonsense.

Thank you hckynut. Smile I probably won't skip much of a beat in posting, maybe a day or two.

Are you sure that they aren't ravens? Ravens are the largest of the black birds.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with believing that animals have a purpose in life, one of them to teach us things. I love the stories about animals and believe that God had a purpose in mind by creating them first.

We used to have crows until West Nile Virus decimated them here.

Ravens are only found in certain states, they are usually in places like Alaska, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming because they follow wolves and other predators for the leftovers of their meals. Crows are very typical east of the Mississippi. I have many of them in a large spruce tree in my yard. They eat garbage that the human pigs throw out car windows, so for me, crows are the clean up birds and I like having them around.
