Thought of posting this on the Beauty Board but figured I'd be run out of town. (May be here too) But here goes anyway....Returning used makeup. Never have, never will. If I hate the color I figure that's my mistake and toss it out. I think companies are way too lenient on their return policies. No wonder everything is so high. I will now tuck and roll!!

I don't buy makeup on the Internet. If I did I would never return it. Tacky!!!

What QVC sells is not cheap so yes I have returned orders of make up before because it broke my face out or I just didn't like it. If the company does not have the policy of throwing out returned products of this nature then that's on them.

The only time I can ever remember returning it was when a foundation gave me welts on my face and I wanted a complaint put in about it. The welts were visible when I returned it so they were very quick to take it back. However, when I make a mistake with something like lipstick, or color cosmetics I just toss them.
That's what I do.

I agree with you Serenity.
The only time I've returned makeup was when it caused an allergic reaction. That's happened once.
If I just decide I don't like the color, I chalk it up to my own mistake. I've thrown away many drug store eye shadows and liners because they under-performed either in color pay-off or staying power.

I do not return make-up. I have a ton that goes unused which proves I take responsibility for my mistakes.
I cannot believe when posters talk about returning nail polish
If you don't like it, pass it onto a friend.
It's that old story, people do things because they can. Barely a week goes by that a poster doesn't ask if a specific store (usually a drugstore) let's you return make-up.

I feel the same way. I wear warm tones, and if I happen to buy a color that turns out to be not so much for me, I pass it on to a girl friend who wears those tones. She does the same for me. Works for us!
