Re: Hubby is going to PR next week.

@chrystaltree  Just wondering about your DH.  Has he left yet?  Is he back?

There are folks here praying for his safety and to lift him up while aiding and assisting in PR with strength and wisdom.

Keep us posted.

My husband is an RN; he does med surg nursing and he also has a lot of NICU experience with newborns.   He's going to PR with a team of md's, nurses, lab techs etc to relieve the workers who have been living at the hospitals that are still open down there.  They've been caring for patients 24/7 since the disaster.  They are physically and emotionally exhausted.  They are at the breaking point.  Some of the team left today with  supplies and medical equipment.  Some are going to assess patients and escort them to hospitals here and others like hubby are going to work for as long as needed.  I'm very proud of him.  He's going to check out my cousin's home.  It's their vacation home and if it's livable, they have offered to any of the medical team who need a place to stay.  Or house patients, if it comes to that.

Our son is a pediatrician and is part of a team that left yesterday.  They were heading for Ponce and the surrounding area.

You must  be very proud of your son, what he is doing is above and beyond and I'm sure will be much appreciated by many.
