Re: How you ever bought a "back-up" of something?

I am a freak about this! I have bought duplicate shoes, shirts, jeans , leather jackets and my favorite sephora lipstick. I need to go to shopper anonymous.

Yes, I have.  I purchased an 8qt electric soup pot that was non stick lined and  tempature controlled, similar to an electric fry pan.  I purchassed it from a competitor of QVC and it was,  and still is, one of the best things I have ever bought for the kitchen.  I've had it about 5 years now and the duplicate is still in its box.  I use it all the time for sauces, soups, chilli and the like.  Unfortunately, they don't make it anymore.  At the time, I bought about 5 of them and gave the rest as gifts.  I love this so much that I would buy a third if I could find one.

Yes, a pair of my favorite jeans and black pants. I'm so glad I did as they both fit perfect.

Yes.  You never know when a style or product will be discontinued.  I've bought several pair of the same jeans, shorts, lipstick, bras.  Nothing too expensive.

Thank you, Noel7.  Love your tag line!

I like that soup pot so much that it's the only thing I refuse to let anyone else use unless it's in my kitchen, even my BFF.  Yes, I can be a real jerk sometimes!

I might have, in the past, but now that I can get products in two days or less, from Amazon Prime, I don't really need to do this anymore.

Yes, I bought a back-up FoodSaver a couple of years ago because I thought my original one was starting to go. It's (the back-up) still sitting in the box. The original's still working like a charm!

Yes, often I have purchased a duplicate. My favorite Estee Lauder lipstick was just discontinued and I bought 4 of them and will try to find more...

I have a favorite lace top that I would like to own for a lifetime so I bought two and put them in storage.

I did the same thing for so long when Max Factor Pan Stik was discontinued.  I kept buying on-line and keeping my stock up until the $$ got into the $60.00 range for one foundation.  Seen some on eBay for $100. a stik.  Too rich for my blood.  I hated to see it end but $10.00 was as high as I was willing to pay.  Buy more if you can.

vermontcountrystore.com has them for $19.95 each.
