Heaven help them if they are in an abusive household.
As a taxpayer, I guess that's where I would want my dollars to go.

I'd set up my immediate family for future success and sustainability, but only to a point. I wouldn't intend to provide for them for the rest of their lives, as they need the gratification and pride that comes from doing and achieving. But I would open doors in education, starting a business etc. to get them on their way.
I'd carefully consider places to donate money, and right off the top of my head, the only place I know that I would give to right away without further thought or research is St. Jude's. All others I would want to really research first, and contemplate it all.
As for myself, I'd buy a second home, in a warmer climate so I could live in two places through the year. That isn't something I see in my future in my 'real' life, so kind of nice to fantasize about it once in awhile!

Ah. So this is the point of the original post. To talk, again, about a controversial topic. Figured it must be something like that.
I don't mind discussing how I'd spend 7 million dollars a day. But I'm going to do my best to ignore the attempt to steer the direction to political and contentious topics. I certainly won't be the one to start it.

I'd buy the houses on each side of me and rebuild my own to have a nice spread and have some peace and quiet without my noisey neighbors.

Same here. I would give it to good causes for the needy. I would build apartments and homes for Veterans. I have no kids so I sure don't need that kind of money.

2.555 billion a year?
I'd buy some struggling local newspapers and provide the reporters and editors with great salaries. I'd get them cutting edge technology and all the personal security they'd need to protect them from organized crime and various threats. And then encourage them to do in depth, ethical investigations on the corrupt and comfortable. Expose it all and let the truth lead where it may.
I'd basically be the anti-corruption media CEO.
(Fixed it for you, @just bee.)

That was pretty obvious from the first post.

For how long would I get $7 million a day? That's important to know. More than likely, with taxes, it might be receiving half that a day.
I'd think carefully what to do with it. Definitely need a financial advisor.
I would build the house of my dreams and hire a people to take care of it. Definitely, someone to take care of me in this house when I no longer can care for myself...have no one to care for me.
Would give some to my family.
I would build a rescue for dogs with a large fenced in area for them to run and play and I would keep all of them. Probably, some horses and cats, too.
If the $7 million was offered long term or the rest of my life, I would pay for some seniors to stay in their homes who otherwise couldn't because of high property taxes and rising costs.
For those living in poverty, I would move them to nicer facilities and give them money to live on.

I'd start with all the things I can't contribute to now.
