I was given a beautiful Cal King frame ( with head and foot boards) but I need to convert to my King size mattress; Help?

@patbz    You should be able to get the standard dimensions for all mattress sizes by Googling it.

I have a double converted to queen, so upped the width and length with no problems, just some hardware.

Not understanding why you don't also have a width issue too?

We used our bed (headboard, footboard and side slots) as a California King for years but switched to a regular king when we bought adjustable platform bed with mattresses.  We knew that our bed could be either a California king of regular king when we bought it by adjusting the side slots within the headboard and footboard where the slide slots go in.

I thought the difference between a California King and a regular King was length only.  The CAL King being longer than the regular.

Are you sure it does not serve both sizes?  We had a cal king for years and bought a regular king. When my husband looked at the head and foot board he saw that it was meant for both sizes.
