Please help me with suggestions. Our neighbors behind us have a dog that is terribly neglected. This poor sweet baby is outside 24/7. We live in CA and last night the temps were in the 30's. At 10:00 pm, the dog was still outside and it was freezing.
I can peek through the fence see him and he's matted and dirty. Fur is so long that his eyes are covered. They do have a dog house for him without any blankets or anything soft for him to lay on. The water bowl is on TOP of the dog house. I know that they feed him because I watched him eat the other day.
I can't stand the thought of this sweet angel being outside all the time. No human interaction, no going on walks...nothing. Why did they even get this sweet boy if they never intended on loving him.
I want to ask them if they want to give him to me. I thought maybe I could start with suggesting that we take him for a walk when we walk our Maltese boy Henry.
Every night I cry when I go to bed when I see this sweet angel all alone outside. I talk to him through the fence and when he hears my voice he runs to the fence.
Has anyone ever dealt with a situation like this. Am I crazy to ask them if we could have him so we could love him and bring him inside. Any suggestions are welcome.
