Re: How to Interpret Common Dreams

I'm always falling and I am, in fact, completely out of control of most things.

What I find odd is that all my dreams take place in my childhood home, even if my husband or kids are in them. I always live at that house.

Re: How to Interpret Common Dreams

I went through a period of dreaming about my teeth falling out.   I haven't had that dream for a while.

I dream a lot about swimming or being in a pool of water.

The dreams that scare me the most are needing to call 911 - either I can't dial the number correctly or I am not able to speak.  I don't know why I have those dreams.

Mine are usually about rooms in a home/house. I'm always very comfortable there. Last one I recall, had old fashioned cupboards, with old fashioned large dishes. I must have been a maid! LOL  It's going room to room too, or in a school.

Love this.

One of my more common dream is forgetting that I'm in a class, so I haven't gone all semester, and then its final exams time. Or, some variation of that. I'm surprised not being ready for a test isn't on that list - I thought it was quite common.

I dream this a lot.  I also thought this was very common.  One reason might be my job.  I work at a university.  I've been in school most of my life.  From student to worker. I only briefly had a "civilian" job.  I actually once worked in a bank.

This is a recurring dream for me. Actually, it's more of a nightmare. I sit down to start the test and realize I don't know the answer to a single question. I wake up and immediately feel such relief that's it's not real.

@Alter Ego

BF has the "late to class" dream a lot.  (He is actually quite punctual, even when he doesn't have to be).

Mine, like @songbird's experience has to do from always being connected to school.  It's usually that I haven't really graduated, and I have to go back and finish something (a class, a semester, student teaching, etc.) and I don't have the necessary paperwork to do so.  Like in one instance I studied abroad (true) but didn't fill out the paperwork before going so none of the credits transferred.

I had one that was vivid, where I had to go and finish my senior year of college at a transfer school.

Re: How to Interpret Common Dreams

My Dad died 25 years ago , but lately I have dreams about him and also that he is taking me to heaven.Very peaceful, happy dreams, not at all frightening. But I do wonder why I remember them after I wake up. My Mom always said if you remember a dream after you wake up it is because God is sending you a message.

Re: How to Interpret Common Dreams

I had a dream about driving over a bridge and going over the edge and falling in my car.  I saw many scenes from my childhood while I was falling.  The dream was so real.  I woke up before I hit the water. That was many years ago. I don't like driving over high bridges.  I have a fear of heights.

That was the only falling dream I ever had.  I don't remember dreaming about any of the other common subjects you have listed.
