My sweet 14 year old cat, Tabbi had been playful and friendly until last Sunday when she stopped eating and drinking. I took her to the vet on Tuesday, but she died on the way there. He said he may have been cancer and there was nothing that could have been done, so it was good I enjoyed her to almost the end. I now find myself looking at online photos of kittens and young cats from shelters and want another one. The new cat will in no way replace Tabbi. But is it too soon to even consider this. I might add Tabbi is the third cat I've had and I've always gotten a new one relatively quickly. And I've never had the feeling that the new one was replacing the one who passed away. Just a new kitty to love.
