I was a big coupon clipper until a few years ago but only for groceries.   But it suddenly was not worth my effort any longer I was still spending a lot with or without coupons!!   Woman Wink

The only coupons I use are the one's from CVS pharmacy.

They send out 25% off everything.  Then I often get from there coupons like $5 off, 6$ off, etc.

I can use those all together.

I also sometimes shop at Harris Teeter grocery store with a percentage off every Thursday because I'm old.  Ha!

I buy the same thing every time I shop.

Other than those, I don't use coupons.

Do you clip and use coupons?

Always, Only for high items, like restaurants, car washes,

Almost never.

Responses, please!

Almost never, however when that coupon show was on TLC I would watch.  I was fascinated how people could spend so much time on coupons but the time spent was worth it.  Although after one big haul I didn't understand the need to keep doing it.  Some of those people were addicted.  There storage rooms were amazing.

Re: How often....

I don't use grocery coupons anymore. Our groceries are both specific and basic. There are never coupons for keto pantry staples,  Most of our groceries are purchased at Costco, Aldi, or Walmart.  Some items I order from Amazon and once in awhile I may find some if our staples at places like Home Goods, TJMaxx, or Marshall's.  If Costco is running a sale on something I buy, the discount comes off automatically.  Aldi and the Home Goods group doesn't take coupons.

if I came across a coupon for something else that was going to buy, a service to use, or event to attend, etc., of course I'd use it, but that rarely happens.  We don't get the Sunday paper anymore either.  I've learned to ask for the senior discount, I just have to remember to do it. DH is better at that than me. 😉

I was a major coupon clipper while my kids were growing up. Since covid, I've been ordering my groceries online and they automatically add all the available manufacturer and store coupons.

If I'm getting an oil/filter change, buying online, or doing certain other things, I always look for coupons and promo codes. I shop around for the best price but only at reputable websites.

I used to use coupons all the time but no longer get the paper. If I am sent coupons in the mail from CVS or a grocery store I will use them if I need something.

I also use the ones grocery stores print up with your receipts. They can amount to some savings.

As an aside, I do not think that I go to stores as much as I did before COVID. I bet our grocery bills have dropped. However, on line shopping bills have increased I am sure.

No more going out to eat or going to the mall for entertainment like I used to.

I do go to stand alone stores like Bath and Body Works and Kohls.

This thread has made me think about how my 'shopping' life has changed.

I use some of the online coupons on Instacart---saved $3 on laundry soap, $2 on toothpaste Value Pack....etc etc...

I use the coupons from the local Kroger store (Fred Myers here in Seattle). They send coupons for items customers buy already ... it's awesome actually. Also the local Safeway store gives out 10% coupons for groceries when you get your shots at their pharmecy. Love that ... as we've had so many shots the last couple of years. Just finished up the shingles 2nd shot. I use the 10% off when I do big shopping days (meaning, when I buy meat). I do look at electronic coupons too, but less often. Many of those coupons are for items I don't buy. But as for clipping coupons out of the paper/magazine? Never. Never did even when my boys were at home and eating anything that didn't move.
