How much would you pay for a pizza?

A New York slice of pizza usually goes for around $2.50, but what does a pie that goes for $2,000 taste like?

You can find out at Industry Kitchen at 70 South Street. The restaurant's Wall-Street inspired pizza is topped with rich (literally) ingredients from around the world: caviar (Caspian Sea), truffles (France), foie gras (France), Stilton cheese (England) and yes, 24-karat gold flakes (Ecuador).

well, i dont like caviar, truffles, or foie gras, so that pizza is not appealing to me at any price. LOL

i am sure there are those in the area that love the ingredients and would spend that price, especially if it was a business expense. Smiley Wink

Hi, @cherry,,  That expensive pizza sounds awful.

I would rather stay home and make toasted English muffin "pizzas" with a fresh tomato and some mozarella, and a chopped basil leaf and onion.  Toasted under the broiler.  Very nice and digestible.  Smiley Happy

I'll bet some  would order it ,just because of the price. I'm the opposite. Call me frugal ,or stingy, which ever you  prefer, but I'll join @Burnsite in her simple fare, and pocket the rest of the money

I like the ingredients but mixing them together sounds disgusting.

I have eaten gold before, Gaylords Indian restaurant in the city had a dessert topped with gold flakes.

Nope, nope, nope.

That foie gras did it for me.

Goof thing there are ingredients on that pizza I don't like.  There's no $2000 available for dinner tonight - no matter what's on the menu.

This country girl don't eat that stuff; even if you offered me the $2000, I still wouldn't eat it!

There is a family owned Italian restaurant around the corner from where I live.....  Every Monday is 50% of what ever kind and size of pizza you want.  My favorite from there is a shrimp pizza.  Delicious.

I too like @Burnsite's idea of a good pizza.  English muffins make an excellent crust.

when i was a kid, i'd put ketchup on anything i didn't like.  this pizza sounds like i'd need a heavy dose of ketchup-imported, of course...
