I pay $40. I wear my hair short and need it trimmed every three weeks for it to look good.

$120 for single color processing, hair trim and shampoo. $20 tip. This is very inexpensive for Northern Virginia area and an Avida salon. Wish I could get her to cut the back shorter but am not having any luck with that suggestion!

Trim, color and tip is from $150-$170 (trim vs cut, roots vs all over color, etc).

$14 at Great Clips plus tip. I have short, thick, curly hair and they use electric clippers on me for the most part. I do my own color. Last few times I had my color done at some other salons, they put a plastic cap on my head and poked my hair through using a comb which was painful. I asked why couldn't they just brush the color on and they said my hair was too short for it. I brush the color on at home, so I stopped getting it done professionally.
