How many times must you say "thank you"

My husband does something that drives me nuts.....Recently he brought me flowers (first time in 15 yrs!!!).....I gushed and said thank you and they were beautiful.....but every day for a week, he would say "aren't those flowers great and boy I really picked a great bunch of flowers"....He does this with everything......I'm not unappreciative....but after saying "thank you" and "this is great"....I really don't think you have to keep going on and on and on..........any thoughts ladies??

(and please don't say "at least you have someone"......I was a young widow at 36 and struggled alone with two little girls for 20 yrs before remarrying)
