That seems like a lot! Maybe when there were four of us here, and I did it for all....it might have come to that?

I’ve seen some more compact ironing boards that might be an okay replacement for once I get resettled. What do other infrequent ironers use?
I very rarely iron and replaced my large ironing board with a small table top one a few years ago. I just set it on top of my bed if I need to use it.
I do occasionally want to get wrinkles out of something I use stream for that.

Ironing for me is on an "as needed" basis. I may go two or three weeks and do no ironing and then I may have a week in which I iron two or three items.
I use a Rowenta iron for most items. I also have a Joy Mangano steamer for tricky items, but use it way less.
Retirement= much less Rowenta time!!

Zero. If something needs to be ironed, it doesn't get to live in my house.

I use either my little travel steamer or wrinkle release. I love wrinkle release! I've used a lot of different brands, but I like the Dollar General brand the best. All the brands have some sort of scent to them, but the DG brand doesn't hold the scent. By the time the item dries, the scent is gone. I only bring out my iron if I absolutely have to. LOL

I iron several times a week. I love button down shirts but I iron them just before I wear them or they get wrinkled in the closet. Anything that needs pressing I try to do the night before I am going to wear it.

Going to google “wrinkle release” 😄

I've ironed all my life. Used to take in ironing when I was a teenager to make pin money. Married and ironed once a week for no less then an hr and no more then two for 50 yrs.
Matter of personal pride and work ethic.

I guess it’s necessary if you have a lot of traditional 100% cotton clothing? I don’t, and I do have “ personal pride” and a work ethic. I typically work 7 days a week, including my volunteer job!
