to telephone someone? Last night, my M-I-L called at 10:20 p.m. just to chat. My DH was out of town, the kids had gone to sleep, and I was in bed.

Growing up, my parents never allowed us to make phone calls after 9:00 p.m. unless it was an emergency. I guess maybe that's why it drives me crazy.
