I have two potted trees that were on my deck all summer, fall and some of winter. I forgot to bring them in before the first frost. Anyway, they were saturated with water. So I set them in my kitchen and let them dry out a bit for a month or so. Now the soil is moderately damp, but the leaves are dry and brittle. How do I know when to give up?
